Joseph Anthony Petree

Joseph Anthony Petree, age 86, of Lenni, PA, died peacefully on April 15, 2018. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.

A lifetime resident of Lenni, Joe attended Lima Elementary School, Media High School, and graduated from Williamson Trade School, class of 1949, where he was trained in carpentry. He served the U.S. Army in Korea from 1952-1954.

Mr. Petree began working with Cullen Construction in Devon, PA in 1957. He served as the Vice President until his retirement in 2007. During retirement Joe enjoyed working with his son as a consultant for Petree Construction. Joe was a proud member of the Killen-Miles Post 87 American Legion and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Church.

Loved by his family, Joe treasured the time spent with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mary E. Petree (née Eves); sons Stephen J. Petree (Eileen) of Glen Riddle and Jeffrey J. Petree (Dawn) of Cochranville; and grandchildren Jessica G. Petree & Joseph A. Petree II of Cochranville.

Joseph’s funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 19th, 11:00 am at the Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home. 15 E. Fourth St. Media, PA. Friends and family may call from 10 11 am. Burial will follow at Edgewood Memorial Park. Friends and family may call from 10 - 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis de Sales Church, P.O. Box 97, Lenni, PA 19052.
