Jared T. Rogers

Jared T. Rogers, age 14, of Claymont, DE, passed away suddenly on April 12, 2018.

Born in Salem, NJ, Jared has been a lifelong resident of Claymont, DE. A student, he currently is enrolled in the 9th grade at Concord High School. He enjoyed wrestling, martial arts, fishing and Vex Robotics. Jared, a Cadet Sr. Airman with the Delaware Air National Guard Cadet Squadron joined the Civil Air Patrol program in 2015 with Squadron DE-004 before transferring to DE-008 in 2016. He was an active participant in the Emergency Services Program. Jared possessed a willingness to serve and an attitude that personified the core values of excellence, respect, integrity and volunteer service.

Jared will be greatly missed by his parents, Michael J. & Tien T. Rogers, brother, Kevin Rogers, older siblings, Brandon, Connor and Thuy Lynh Thompson, paternal grandparents, Carolyn (late Charles Howard) Rogers, adoptive maternal grandparents, Harold and Dorothy Crothers, and an aunt, Bernadette (Pete) Merchlewitz.

A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-7 PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by a Funeral Service at 7PM. Interment will remain private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jared’s memory may be made to either the Atterbury VFW or Delaware Air National Guard Cadet Squadron, DANG Cadet Squadron/DE Wing, P.O. Box 11285, Wilmington, DE 19850-1285.
