George William Keidel Jr.

George William Keidel Jr., age 76 of St. Petersburg, FL died on April 24, 2018 at home. Born in Darby, PA, he resided for the past 17 years in St. Petersburg, FL, previously residing in Aston and Darby, PA. A graduate from the Hershey State Police Academy, George was a Police Officer for Darby Borough for 26 years retiring in 1992. Devoted to his faith, George was a member of St. Justin Martyr in Florida where he served on the Social Committees. A fun, loving guy, he enjoyed fishing, swimming, sports and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, George Sr. and Marguerite Hughes Keidel, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter and great grandson, Lindsay Cassidy and Kolby O’Brien, both whom died in 2008. George is survived by his wife of 48 years, Frances C. Shano Keidel, 4 children, CathyLynne (Dan) Burns, Karen (John) Gaston, George III (Marita) Keidel and Jon (Suzette) Keidel, brother, Robert Keidel, aunt, Anne Driscoll, 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Monday 7:00-9:00PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA & also on Tuesday at the church, 9:009:45AM at St. Joseph Church, 3255 Concord Road, Aston, PA. followed by an 10:00AM Funeral Mass. Interment S.S. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
