Chris Panarello Jr. - well known broker and owner of four Century 21 Real Estate Offices in Delaware Co. He died in his sleep on May 26th, 2018 at his home Bethel Twp.

Chris was a 1979 graduate of Garnet Valley. He played three years of football as a defensive end. During those years GV amassed a 27-4 record going undefeated his sophomore year.

Chris was an outstandin­g amateur boxer. His career began at Del. Park with a one punch knock out in the first round. He won three more fights at the park that summer, and three more at Upper Darby against Philadelph­ia boxers. After his sophomore year of football, he won three fights in one week to win the Philadelph­ia 147 lb. division in the AAU Championsh­ip. He also won two internatio­nal bouts that year knocking out the English fighter from Manchen and a decision over a boxer from the Italian team. In addition, he won the 139 lb. Delaware-South Jersey title with a first round knock out over James Starkey of Chester. He was runner up twice for the state championsh­ip at Harrisburg. He amassed a 30-4 record with 18 KO’s, five of those were one punch KO’s. His boxing accomplish­ments garnered him a place in the Del. Co. Hall of Fame for Boxing.

Chris attended West Chester University and completed a constructi­on management 2 year program at Penn State Community College.

He was generous to a fault and ran the pumpkin carving contest at C21. He gave away $10,000 worth of free pumpkins to children in the area every year for 15 years. He was thrilled by the reaction of the children when they received the free pumpkins.

Chris was a person with a huge heart and giving spirit. His generosity towards others is what he will be remembered for.

Surviving family members are his father; Dr. Chris Panarello, and his mother; Elaine Panarello, two brothers; Vince Panarello and Dr. Lance Panarello and wife Jama, and their two sons; Roman and Wyatt.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, 5:00PM 8:00PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA. Another Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00AM 10:00AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybroo­k Rd., Glen Mills, PA followed by a 10:30AM Funeral Mass. Interment will be held privately in the church cemetery.
