Garden Club of Spring field is grateful for support
To the Times: The Garden Club of Springfield held its 8th Annual Herb, Plant and Bake Sale recently and it was a success. The club wishes to thank the following businesses that made donations: William F. Adolph & Co. Inc; Barry Jay Jeweler; Chanticleer Gardens; Dukes Tavern; Giant Foods (Springfield); Happy Wok II; Vince Iacone’s Automotive; Joe’s Barber Shop; Jessica Moore; Nirvana Salon; Pour House - P.J. Whelihan’s; Premier Property; Saxer Salon; Sciarrino’s Pizzeria; Sleepy Hollow Deli, Springfield Pasta; Springfield Sports Emergency Medicine; Thunderbird; Trader Joe’s Grocery; Dr. Robert Vignola; and Wedgewood Gardens.
The sale committee was cochaired by Judy Moore and Jane Nyiri, who did an outstanding job in organizing and preparing for the sale. The club members along with some of their husbands and staff members from Springfield Township parks were instrumental in helping to make this fundraiser a huge success. We also want to thank the community for supporting our sale and trust that they will enjoy their new plantings.
All proceeds of the sale go toward community gardens and educational projects which includes two scholarship awards that will be presented to Springfield High School students who are pursuing studies in horticulture or environmental studies.
