Man killed at construction site accident in Concord
CONCORD » An industrial accident that claimed the life of a construction worker Tuesday afternoon is under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police and the Delaware County Medical Examiner’s office.
Cpl. Danea Durham, spokeswoman for Troop K Media, said the incident at 1 Braxton Way was reported about 1:30 p.m.
According to Durham, the construction worker was apparently hit by a piece of equipment. The unidentified construction worker was pronounced dead at the scene, she said.
Delaware County Medical Examiner Dr. Fredric Hellman said late Tuesday afternoon that an autopsy will be conducted Wednesday.
A construction worker was killed at 1 Braxton Way in front of the offices of Deliotte in Concord on Tuesday. Concordville Fire Co. first responders were alerted about 1 p.m. for an unconscious subject struck in the head by an excavator. The man was reported pinned between the machine and a wall but was extricated before medics arrived.
