ENOUGH OF ANDY

- OLD MEDIA MUSTANG DISGRUNTLED TAXPAYER SERIOUS ON 70 SMH THINK ABOUT IT

Hopefully the Times is finished with Andy Reilly articles. He interpreted the Blue Wave election as a referendum on President Trump but many were also voting against those politicians who refuse to speak out against the lack of integrity and civility of this president. Maybe after Reilly settles into his new job he’ll find the courage to speak out against the most corrupt and immoral administration of our lifetime.

PIPE DREAMS

Good morning. I just finished reading the article about the Sunoco pipeline coming through the county. What it did not say is what effect the pipeline will have on the value of the property it is going through. I know for one I would not buy a property that had a pipeline going through it. I don’t know why the pipeline isn’t going down the street. Why did it have to come across private property, because to me the properties are now valueless. Am I right or am I wrong? You better have a good reason to prove me wrong. Sunoco is not the company it used to be.

NO JUSTICE

What a disgrace. I see on the front page of the Daily Times today a man ran down a 69-year-old man and left them to die in the street in a hit and run and he only got 6-23 months in prison, which means he might only spent three months in prison or six months at the most. What a terrible, terrible disgrace. What do you have to do, take somebody, run over them and then shoot them and kill them to get any real jail time? The justice system stinks.

SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS

Now we know what kind of people Donald Trump attracts — people who think it’s OK for man to be killed and dismembered as long as we get a cheaper gas. And another person who thinks it’s OK to shoot the babies at the border. What kind of people are these supporters? It’s a sad statement on what’s going on in America today.

WHAT? ME WORRY?

This is how goofy the people are today. Now they want to ban classic Christmas songs because of the lyrics. There’s nothing wrong with the lyrics. There’s something wrong with the wacky society we live in today. Instead of worrying about a Christmas song’s lyrics, they should worry about the creeps ripping off the middle class and the poor people in this country. This is what we should be concerned about. We can start with some of the politicians in Washington and you know who I’m talking about.

HEADS UP

When I see the funeral for our 41st president, George H.W. Bush, and the dignity that he brought to the whole country, I have to think of how far we’ve slid when a so-called entertainer like Kathy Griffin can walk around holding the head of President Trump. It’s a shame.

DOLLARS AND SENSE

What’s wrong with this picture? They’re blaming Trump’s tariffs for the problems at GM. GM is closing plants and having trouble making money. Could it be this CEO who wants $22 million in salary? Could that be the problem? I have to ask, who does she think she is — Lebron James or Steph Curry? Keep in mind the president of the country makes $400,000. You got to make money to get paid money, $22 million. It’s a little out of hand, isn’t it? You talk to Mark Zuckerberg.

MAKE YOUR CHOICE

In answer to those other callers, the purpose of the primary is for the registered members of each party, Democrat and Republican, to pick the candidate that most exemplifies who they wish to vote for in the general. Now, if we’re going to start allowing independents to vote in the primary then I say OK, let’s open the whole damn thing up. As a Republican I should be allowed to vote for the Democratic candidate I want to see in the election or as a Democrat I should be allowed to vote for the Republican candidate that I think should run. Sure, your vote counts as much as mine but it counts as much as mine in the general election, not the primary.
