Tanzosh’s 2 wins pace Ridley

Kevin Tanzosh won the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke to lead Ridley to a season-opening 90-41 win over Glen Mills Friday.

Tanzosh also swam a leg on the winning 200 free relay. Zach Anderson (200 individual medley) and Ryan Schreiber (100 butterfly) each paired an individual win with two relay triumphs for the Green Raiders.

In other nonleague action: UPPER DARBY 95, ARCHBISHOP CARROLL 50 >> Hunter Youngblood claimed the 200 free and 100 breast, and Patrick Rankin prevailed in the IM and

100 fly for the Royals. Carroll’s Jack Goehringer rung up a win in the 50 free.

SUN VALLEY 97, CHICHESTER 48 >> Nick Fursman started the season with two individual wins and a pair of relay victories for the Vanguards.

Fursman won the 100 and 200 freestyle. He also was part of the winning

200 medley and 200 freestyle relays teams. Andrew Cerami (200 medley relay, 200 free relay, 100 backstroke), John Landis (200 medley relay, 100 butterfly) and Austin Whittington

(200 individual medley, 200 free relay) also were multiple winners for SV.

Girls Swimming

Hailey King won the 200 IM and

100 breast to lead Ridley to a 10771 nonleague triumph over Merion Mercy, adding a win in the 200 free relay as the leadoff leg.

Hannah Smith sprinted to take the

50 free and anchored the winning

200 medley and 200 free relays. Leah Rechner, winner of the 100 free, and

500-free winner Madison Rae added relay golds. Meghan Lynch scored

213.85 to capture diving.

In other nonleague action: UPPER DARBY 99, ARCHBISHOP CARROLL 56 >> Emily Lehman claimed the distance events to pace the Royals to a win. Megan Le (IM) and Grace Purcell (50 free) also grabbed wins in the front half of the meet to get UD off to a fast start.

Julia Dellaratta (100 fly), Schuyler Gock (100 free) and Victoria Patota

(100 breast) earned wins for Carroll. SUN VALLEY 100, CHICHESTER 58 >> Jenna Johnson won four events and Olivia Carr and Keeley Durkin three each to pace the Vanguards.

Johnson won the 200 individual medley, 100 back and was on the winning 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay teams. Carr was first in the 100 breaststroke, Durkin captured the 50 free and both were on the 200 medley and 200 free relays along with Johnson and Jordan Bodrowski.
