Margaret Bogetveit Brinson

Margaret Bogetveit Brinson, age 96, of Secane, Pa passed away peacefully January 9, 2019.

Loving wife of John H. Brinson, who preceded her in death. Also preceded in death by son Johnny, devoted mother of Kathy Dollymore (late Joe), Liz Shultz (late Jim), Bob Brinson (Bonita), and Irene Rankin (Bert). Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Margaret was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. As a result of her generous personality she touched many lives and was loved by many. She was the neighborhood grandmother known as Bestemor to all.

Born in Bergen, Norway in 1922 she was 11th of 12 children. She trained to be a Registered Nurse and during WW2 she was a member of the Norwegian Underground. Emigrating to the USA in 1947 she continued with her Nursing career. She met and married John (Jack) Brinson in 1950. They we blessed with a marriage of 63 years.

Retiring to Surfside Beach, SC. Margaret and Jack enjoyed traveling and as a member of Sons of Norway she instilled her love of Norway in her family. She was very creative and was never without her knitting needles, was an extremely accomplished seamstress and loved a good game of cards. She was one of the kindest people you could ever meet, truly loved life and lived it to the fullest. We know she has reached a place of peace and is with Dad and Johnny.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation Monday, January 14, 2019 10:00am O’Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Rd. Springfield, PA 19064 and to her Funeral Service Monday 11:00am in the Funeral Home. Burial Private.
