John Bernard Reynolds, age 86, passed away from natural causes on December 28, 2018.

He was born in Baltimore, MD and raised by his parents Bernard Ignatius Reynolds and Mary Louise Kelly Reynolds on Radnor Avenue at the 4800 block of York Road.

He attended Calvert Hall Country School, Calvert Hall High School and the University of Maryland, School of Business, in College Park, MD. Prior to graduation, he was interviewe­d by E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Company and accepted a starting sales position in what was then called their Fabrics and Finishes Department and later named the Automotive Products Department. He started his career with DuPont in the Chicago, IL area and later was headquarte­red in Minneapoli­s, MN, Providence, RI, Philadelph­ia, PA, and Wilmington, DE, where he finished his career as the business manager of finishes to original equipment manufactur­ers of trucks and truck fleets.

After 35 years he retired from DuPont and moved to Queenstown, MD, where he owned property and his father was born and raised. After six years, he relocated to Lady Lake, FL where he resided for 22 years and then to Jupiter, FL where he resided for the past two years.

He was a member of the Phi Kappa Sigma Social Fraternity, DuPont Country Club, Kent Island Yacht Club, Rotary Club of Kent Island, Irish American Club of Lady Lake, and Maryland/DC/Delaware Club of Lady Lake. He enjoyed golf, bowling, pickle ball, horseshoes, and other participat­ion activities.

This former DuPont executive is survived by his wife Patricia Joan Wickens Reynolds of Jupiter, FL, son Timothy John Reynolds of Tequesta, FL, and daughter Mishawn Kelly Reynolds originally from Media, PA. Mr. Reynolds is also survived by his daughter-in-law Mary Durstine McArtor Reynolds, granddaugh­ter Madison McCulloch Reynolds, and grandson Ryan Timothy Reynolds, all of Tequesta, FL.

A graveside memorial service and the interment will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church cemetery in Queenstown, MD, on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 11:00 a.m.
