Two records fall as Haverford tops McDaniel

The Haverford College women’s basketball team made history Saturday in a 77-53 victory over Centennial Conference foe McDaniel.

The Fords set singlegame program records for field goal percentage (55.4 percent) and 3-point field goals made (13) on the way to their 10th victory in 13 games this season.

Julianna Clark helped key the effort with five 3-pointers, good for second most in program history. Anna-Sophia Capizzi nailed four treys, while Garnet Valley grad Macy Goldbach made three baskets from long distance.

Four Haverford players scored in double figures, with Goldbach and Clark each netting 17 points. Capizzi added 14, Megan Furch chipped in with 10 points and Hannah Zoll pumped in a career-high eight points off the bench. PSU-BRANDYWINE 50, PSUYORK 27 >> Nikki Velez scored

The Lions limited York to

Ashley Tutzauer added 14 points and four steals, while Meghan Matthews and Lexi Edwards pitched in 13 points and 10 points, respective­ly.

Cabrini (8-8) logged 14 steals and forced 24 turnovers.

Men’s Basketball

Cabrini returned to the win column Saturday for the first time since Nov. 28, snapping an 11-game slide.

Ivan Robinson netted a season-high 21 points to power the Cavaliers to a 96-86 triumph over Wesley.

DeVahnte Mosley reach the 1,000-point plateau with a layup in the opening minute of the game. The senior guard finished with 11 points.
