Suspect turns himself into Upper Darby police
UPPER DARBY >> A 54-yearold Philadelphia man who allegedly masturbated in front of two women in a township store this week has turned himself into police, officials said.
Walter Dickson, of Walnut Street, was wanted on charges of indecent exposure and open lewdness. According to police, as of Saturday, Dickson has turned himself in.
Police had been looking for him since an incident caught on video inside an insurance agency in the 700 block of Terminal Square in the township Wednesday.
On that day around 9:45 a.m., a suspect walked into the agency, where two women were working in the front office and a third was in the back room.
Police said Dickson asked about the services and when the two women turned their backs, he performed the lewd act, which was caught on video.
Police said these two women, as well as the woman in the back, were frightened by his behavior.
At the time, Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said of Dickson, “We want him off the street.”
