ROAD TO RUIN
I was driving on I-95 South near Widener, and the right lane was where the governor’s boys fixed all the potholes. Now they’re all back. I’d like to know what are they using for these potholes, oatmeal or concrete? I pay this 40 cents tax on a gallon for road repairs and they do sloppy work like that. I’m telling you, it’s just a disgrace.

I have the solution for the dilemma about Barnaby’s. They should make half the building a church and half an operating bar. So the people can kick up their heels dancing on Saturday night and then they can go to services on Sunday. Both of these things will do them a world of good.
THIS IS RIDICULOUS
I just received a $43 COLA increase on Social Security. It’s my only source of income. I received $47 a month in SNAP benefits for food. So since I got my big $43 increase, they took away $20 of my food stamps. So now I only get $27 a month food stamps with my $43 increase. This is how the government works! They gave with one hand and they take away with the other. So instead of being ahead I’m only partially but I could use some of that $8 billion that Trump is stealing to build his stupid wall to appease his knuckle-dragging base. But that’ll never happen.
WE KNOW HOW THIS ENDS
Trump apparently is going to declare a non-existent state of emergency to try to get money to build his wall. This is going to end up in the courts and you know what the judge is going to say. The judge is going to say to Trump there’s no state of emergency, you moron. You’re not getting the money for the wall.

It can’t be much of a national crisis if the president of the United States can go off to his resort to play golf for three days.

Apparently “Job Killer” is blaming Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for Amazon not moving to New York. This is a kind of stuff that right wingers come up with all the time. It makes absolutely no sense, yet they say this stuff and they believe that it’s true. What world are these people living in?

In response to “Just Saying” in Sound Off this Sunday, you say that Donald Trump is trying to turn our country into a banana republic. You should probably look up the definition of banana republic because he’s not the one leading all of Central American immigrants to come here to destroy our country. Take a look at your Democratic Congress.
CLUTCH THOSE PEARLS
I believe the Daily Times should sort out the people that call in. “Just Saying” in the Sunday paper is absolutely ridiculous to talk about people on a third- or fourthgrade level. I mean these comments are inappropriate for a paper. You don’t say things like that and the Times shouldn’t print them. And the other thing that he was saying, calling the president treacherous, a traitor, incompetent, ridiculous and everything else, it’s ignorant definitely ignorant and I don’t think any of that should be printed. There must be something that’s good to say. So I have to say that I’m absolutely disappointed in the Times, that looney birds like him are able to call in and have it printed.

EARN YOUR KEEP
People are complaining about the minimum wage. The minimum wage when I was young was 50 cents an hour. Those jobs are stepping-stone jobs. You’re not supposed to make a career out of asking if you want a hamburger and fries. That’s the steppingstone job. You need to get an education if you want a decent job. Delaware County Community College is not that expensive. Once you get there and you get a job, most employees pay a lot for you to finish your education. Stop demanding $15 an hour to give out hamburgers.
