Dillon wins 300th as Drexel stretches streak to 10
Denise Dillon got to 300 career wins at Drexel Sunday, and she got there in emphatic style.
The Dragons held Northeastern to just 14 first-half points to tally Drexel’s 10th straight win, 76-45.
Dillon, the former standout at Cardinal O’Hara and Villanova, is the fourth person to win 300 games as a head coach in the Colonial Athletic Association. The 31-point margin of victory is the largest for the Dragons in more than two years, and the 10-game streak is the third-longest in program history.
Bailey Greenberg led the way with 17 points, six rebounds and four assists. Keishana Washington added 16 points, Niki Metzel tallied 14 and Hannah Nihill (two-time
Player of the Year from Cardinal O’Hara) paired 13 points with five assists and three steals. The Dragons (18-5, 10-2) held a 50-20 edge in points in the paint.

27 points, including 11for-11 from the free-throw line. Jekot contributed 18 points for the Hawks (10-15,
6-6 Atlantic 10), and Mary Sheehan (Cardinal O’Hara All-Delco) paired six points with nine rebounds.
Shayla Sweeney led La Salle (4-23, 1-12 A-10) with 13 points. Shalina Miller (Bonner & Prendergast All-Delco) paired 12 points with nine rebounds, five blocks and four assists for the Explorers.

15-point lead but rallied via a 12-0 run in the final quarter.
Alliya Butts provided 11 of her game-high 23 points in the fourth. Mia Davis (17 points, 13 rebounds) and Shantay Taylor (12 and 11) each posted double-doubles, and Marissa Mackins canned four 3-pointers to tally 12 points for the Owls
(9-15, 5-6 AAC).
