There are now but four boats on the ways there and the officials said there was not enough riveting going on now to keep so many men busy.

75 Years Ago – 1944: The century-old, grey-stone Delaware County prison at Media, located behind the courthouse at Second and Orange streets, will be closed down March 6, and the 67 prisoners now held there will be transferred to Broadmeadows Farm, it was announced today by Albert R. Granger, president of the Delaware County Prison Board. An annual saving to the taxpayers of $27,879 was promised as the result of the Media prison abandonment.
