Ballinger, Immaculata knock out Neumann

Bonner & Prendergas­t grad Amber Ballinger scored 19 points to go with seven rebounds and six steals to help Immaculata defeat Neumann, 66-56, in the first round of the Atlantic East Conference tournament Monday.

Nafisa Saunders tallied a game-high 34 points for the host Knights (14-12), who committed 25 turnovers and shot 33.3 percent (17-for-51) from the floor. Lauren Leicht (Cardinal O’Hara) chipped in with four points, five rebounds and three assists.

Theresa Kearney (Archbishop Carroll) tossed in seven points for the Mighty Macs (8-18).

Men’s

A disappoint­ing season for Cabrini ended in the first round of the Atlantic East Conference tournament.

Brian Cameron was unstoppabl­e for Wesley, which dealt the Cavaliers (6-20) an 87-69 defeat. Cameron poured in 48 points on 17for-27 shooting from the field. He was 6 of 11 from beyond the arc, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out four assists.

DJ Smith paced the Cavaliers with a team-high 15 points off the bench. Voshon Mack added 14 points and eight rebounds in the losing effort.
