Man dies in hail of bullets on street in Darby Township
DARBY TOWNSHIP >> A man was fatally shot when gunfire erupted on a township street in broad daylight Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
Police were called to the intersection of Noblet and Tribbett avenues about 2 p.m. for a report of a shooting.
A 33-year-old man was fatally wounded after being hit in a hail of gunfire.
The identity of the victims has not yet been released.
Police do not yet know if the man was the target of the shooting or caught in the crossfire.
Police said witnesses told them several suspects are believed to have fled the scene in a silver-colored vehicle.
Police continue to investigate the mid-day shooting.
