The Sixers Thursday formally signed center Kyle O’Quinn. The

6-10, seven-year NBA veteran agreed to a one-year deal at the veteran minimum of $2.3 million July 2, a source had confirmed.

O’Quinn played in 45 games for the Pacers last season and averaged

3.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 8.2 minutes. The No. 49 overall pick in the 2012 draft out of Norfolk State has had NBA experience with the Pacers, Knicks and Magic.

O’Quinn is largely expected to back up Al Horford at center on those nights when Joel Embiid is being rested for load management. He will wear No. 9.

“We’re very excited to welcome Kyle to the 76ers,” general manager Elton Brand said, in a statement. “A seven-year NBA veteran, Kyle is a talented frontcourt player who can score, rebound and block shots. We think he fits our team and culture very well.

“We’re excited for Kyle’s arrival to Philadelphia.”

O’Quinn is expected to be formally introduced Friday morning in Camden, N.J., along with several new Sixers.

He will join a new-look roster including Horford, perimeter guard Josh Richardson and point guard Raul Neto. Also, holdover Sixers Tobias Harris, Mike Scott, James Ennis and Shake Milton agreed to new contracts, as did first-round draft choice Matisse Thybulle.

Scott, a 6-8 forward, signed a two-year, $9.8 million deal, according to published reports. The sevenyear veteran averaged 7.8 points and shot 41.2 percent from 3-point range in 27 games with the 76ers.

“Mike epitomizes what Philadelphia loves - a fierce competitor with a tireless work ethic, who’s driven by the desire to win,” Brand said. “His toughness, grit and passion are palpable, as the city of Philadelphia has come to know. We are thrilled to have Mike back with the 76ers.

Second-round pick Marial Shayok and G-League promotion Norvel Pelle have agreed to two-way contracts.

Returning players Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, Zhaire Smith and Jonah Bolden are also under contract.
