Rep. Kirkland presents criminal record expungement re-entry resource fair
State Rep. Brian Kirkland, DDelaware, will present a criminal record expungement re-entry resource fair, 5-8 p.m., Oct. 22 in Chester City Hall’s Community Room located at 1 E. 2th Street, Chester.
Lawyers and other experts on expungement, as well as employers willing to hire people who are reformed, will be in attendance, Kirkland said.
“A past mistake that led to an arrest or conviction should not define a person for the rest of his or her life,” said Kirkland, who represents the 159th Legislative District. “This resource fair will provide opportunity for those with a record who seek to better their lives through employment or buying a house or obtaining a professional license to have their record expunged.”
In addition to providing information to constituents who are eligible to have their records expunged and introducing residents to potential employers, Kirkland and his staff will be available to answer questions and provide information on a variety of state government-related services.
For more information on the resource fair, residents may call 612-826-6222.
