Almost $5,000 rolls into Merry Christmas Fund charity drive

Given Today: $4,775 Given to Date: $11,050.00 CHESTER — The Salvation Army/Daily Times Merry Christmas crested over the five-figure mark today after receiving 10 donations that arrived over the weekend. An anonymous gift of $3,000 and $1,000 from Delmont Utilities Inc. led the near-$5,000 round of donations:

· Nancy and Mike Fitzgerald of Chester Heights, $100: “In memory of family members who have passed on and are missed by many.”
· Mary Ann Lenick of Eddystone, $100
· Anonymous, $100: “Prayers for those whose lives that are unsettled this Christmas.”
· Kim Garrison of Aston, $25: “In loving memory of my mother Betty H. Garrison.”
· Koehler Family of Folsom, $50: “In memory of Koehler and Nickles Families.”
· Bob and Linda Lang of Springfield, $50: “In memory of
Bobby Lang.”
The Daily Times will provide daily updates showing the amount of donations received and list the names of contributors to the Merry Christmas Fund. Those who wish to be recognized should include a very brief, legible holiday message with their donations.
