Man gets jail for enticing girls to produce child porn
PHILADELPHIA >> A 25-year-old Ridley Township man was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison and a lifetime of supervised release Monday on multiple child exploitation charges after seeking out at least 11 young girls online in a bid to entice them into photographing themselves engaging in sexual activity.
John C. Dellarocco Jr. of the Holmes section of the township, was charged in June with four counts of use of an interstate commerce facility to entice and attempt to entice a minor to engage in sexual conduct, seven counts of manufacture and attempted manufacture of child pornography, and one count of possession of child pornography.
The illegal activity took place between at least July 2015 and September 2017, according to an indictment filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, but there were few other details. Dellarocco pleaded guilty to all 12 counts in August, according to online court records.
“Child exploitation is a pervasive problem – made more so by the accessibility of the Internet and digital media – that demands an aggressive response,” said U.S. Attorney William M. McSwain in a release. “This case is particularly disturbing because of the number of children the defendant was able to target and communicate with on the Internet. We urge parents and caregivers to monitor what their children do online, and we stand ready with our federal and local partners to identify and prosecute those who would prey upon minor children.”
