Providence Animal Center:

is hosting an adoption challenge for the 50days left in their adoption calendar: The PAC 50-50 Challenge. In an effort to reach PAC’s goal of 4,100adoptio­ns this year, the lifesaving center is challengin­g members of the public to adopt – or try out adoption through a “sleepover,” a 48-hour-commitment free stint. Adoptions will be satisfacti­onguarante­ed throughout the end of the year; meaning, if for some reason the adoption doesn’t work out, the Center will accept the pet back and reimburse your adoption fee. For those adopt, PAC is offering a 50% off coupon for dogs, cats and kittens. All adopters, including puppy adopters, will be entered into a raffle to have adoption fees reimbursed thanks to adoption sponsors. Multiple winners will be chosen weekly through New Year’s Eve. The Center is hosting adoption events on Black Friday, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve and only closed on Thanksgivi­ng and Christmas. Volunteer Opportunit­ies at Women Against Rape:

Delaware County Women Against Rape has been providing services to victims of sexual assault and to their significan­t others since

1974. The non-profit agency depends on the support of our volunteers to help us assist meeting the needs of our clients

24-hours a day. Services to victims include hospital/police interview accompanim­ent, and telephone crisis interventi­on. Volunteers receive a 40-hour training to prepare them for their responsibi­lities and are asked to provide support at least twice a month for an evening or weekend shift. GRASP (Grief Recovery After a Substance Passing) Grief Support Group:
