La Salle goes the distance to knock off Wagner

La Salle wasted little time disposing of Wagner Wednesday night.

Isiah Deas hit a 3-pointer 22 seconds into the game, and the Explorers never looked back in a 74-60 victory over the Seahawks at Tom Gola Arena.

Deas’ triple ignited a 19-4 run to open the game. The Explorers (7-3) rode that fast start to their third straight victory.

Scott Spencer paced La Salle with 17 points. He also pulled down five rebounds. Deas finished with 13 points and five boards. Kenney Sherif added 13 points. YORK (PA.) 107, CABRINI 67 >> The Spartans scored the first six points and kept their foot on the gas to run away from the visiting Cavaliers. York followed that strong start with 63 points in the second half.

Ryan Byars had 15 points and six rebounds to lead Cabrini (3-6). Justin Gans (Bonner-Prendergas­t) added 11 points, and Voshon Mack contribute­d 10 points and eight boards.

The No. 24 Pride shot better than 52 percent from the field and led wire-to-wire in a 78-53 romp over Ursinus in the HoopMia D3 Holiday Shootout in Miami.

Erin Phelan connected on 9 of 11 shots for a gamehigh 20 points to pace the undefeated Pride (11-0). Mackenzie McCracken went for a career-best 14 points and seven rebounds. Madison Ireland (Garnet Valley All-Delco) set the tone with 13 points, five rebounds and five assists. Devan Rimmer also scored 13 points to move into fourth place on the program’s all-time scoring list. continues
