Schaller’s double-double powers Garnet Valley

Carl Schaller posted a double-double with a game-high 28 points and 10 rebounds to propel Garnet Valley to a 75-52 Central League victory over Upper Darby.

Schaller drilled five of the Jaguars 11

3-pointers. Neel Beniwal added 15 points including two triples and Ryan Louden had seven points for Garnet Valley (4-1, 3-1).

AJ Tucker and Iyan Joshuasvil­le netted

10 points apiece while Shareef Jones Jr. scored nine for the Royals.

Also in the Central League:

RADNOR 43, MARPLE NEWTOWN 32 >> Jaamir Stewart had 21 points and three steals and Jack d’Entremont chipped in seven points and four rebounds as the Raiders continued their strong start to the year.

Lew Robinson added five points, boards and a block for Radnor.

Eric McKee led the Tigers with 10 points and Ben Davis added nine points. six

PENNCREST 47, HARRITON 30 >> Denzel Atkinson-Boyer had a strong night down low with four points, 14 rebounds and four blocks while Ben Stanton was the only player in double figures for the Lions (5-1,

3-1) with 10 points. Saahir Lee chipped in six points and five assists for Penncrest.

Markus Bradley-Lowry led the Rams with 11 points and Daniel Katz had six. STRATH HAVEN 48, SPRINGFIEL­D 43 >> Luke Edwards hit two triples and totaled 14 points and Isaiah Freeman followed that up with nine points to lead the Panthers.

Freshman Michael Hoey had 10 points including nine in the fourth quarter and Brian Ward had nine points on three

90-point total for the second time in three days as Grant Sareyka led the way with 19 points including a pair of treys and Jourdan Greene added 10 points.

Christian Academy, which scored 96 in a win over Faith Christian on Tuesday. PEDDIE SCHOOL 72, EPISCOPAL ACADEMY 62 >> Alex Capitano returned after missing the last four games to score a career-high 33 points including three triples but the Churchmen were outscored 42-29 in the second half of the opening round of the Mercer Invitation­al Tournament at the Hill School.

Malcolm Folk and Sam Malloy had six points apiece for Episcopal Academy (3-7), who will play Prince Day School (N.J.) in the losers bracket on Friday.
