Now is the time to focus on health care

I am writing to urge you to call on policy makers to address the real issues that are making this pandemic and economic crisis worse for our community: unjust

and inadequate health care in the U.S., underemployment and lack of workplace democracy, lack of affordable housing, etc.
I have been furloughed for two weeks without pay. Fortunately,

medical bills (even with insurance), and that there will not be enough ventilators for me, my loved ones, and all my neighbors when we need them!
I believe there are lessons we can learn from the coronavirus to emerge as a stronger community that guarantees all our people the basics for a dignified and more prosperous life!
