NOW THEY TELL US

On Saturday, June 6, I received a notice in the mail that my polling place for the June 2 election had changed. Nice notice.

JOHNNY YUMA

DO AS THEY SAY

I just saw on the news that a bunch of celebrities from Hollywood and elsewhere have signed a letter to defund the police. I suggest that they defund their security guards they have around them and then see who they would call for help if something happens. They didn’t have their security. They would have to call the police. But instead these hypocrites want to defund the police and do away with the place, which would be the worst thing that could ever happen to this country.

STEP DOWN, CHRISTINE

In fact, this “Antifa Invasion” never was scheduled, except in the minds of Christine Flowers and her ilk. Fringe right-wing outlets have been fomenting an imaginary race war led by Antifa. This elusive invasion has been generated by white nationalist groups. Certainly, the overwhelmingly peaceful protests initially distracted the police from protecting the property and individuals who needed protection. The protests will continue.

The looting has stopped. Calling black athletes and bishops storm troopers reflects Flowers’ racist bias. I welcome an informed discourse about the ways majority allies can remedy the widespread mistrust of police departments. Ms.

Flowers’ bias has forfeited her standing in this discussion. I suggest she sits this one out.

PAULY FROM PROSPECT

A SHOT THAT MISSED

I agree with “Just Thinking,” who commented on the recent comments by the chairman of the Delaware County Republican Party. Regardless of what the party makeup of the county council, this primary election was going to be a challenge. It was inappropriate and unjustified for Mr. McGarrigle to lay the blame on the Democrats. (For the record, I am Republican.)

Mr. McGarrigle missed his opportunity to applaud everyone who helped to make the election occur, regardless of their party affiliation, rather than try to lay blame.

COURSE CORRECTION

To “JB,” Gov. Wolf extended the deadline for counting the votes due to the overwhelming amount of people who chose to use a mail-in ballot. He did not extend the deadline for voting. Trumpette, get it right and stop skewing the facts.

TRUMP 2020 NOT

KNOW NOTHING

I’ve always disagreed with Christine Flowers and with good reason. She’s a right-wing idiot. But now I’m going to put my cards on the table. Christine Flowers is disgusting. Her latest rant about being a proud member of Antifa shows how little she knows. Disgusting person that she is, she says it Drew Brees did more for his community than Malcolm Jenkins, who she calls a loudmouth. She knows nothing of what Malcom Jenkins has done for his community and probably very little about what Drew Brees has for his community, and yet she takes it upon herself to say that she knows exactly what both of them have them for their communities. She’s a horrible person, just as horrible as Donald Trump, and I’m surprised that the Daily Times still prints her disgusting filth.

GAME TIME

Pretty soon they won’t be playing the National Anthem before football games at all. These players taking a knee, disrespecting the flag, all hate America

anyway.

TRUMP 2020

BEGINNING OF THE END

I like to read “On This Date in History” in the Delco Daily Times. And the other day it said that. this is the day that Robert Kennedy was shot and killed in Los Angeles, Calif. If you take a step back and look with an objective view, you can see the slow decline of the United States of America after the premeditated murders of John Fitzgerald Kennedy and Robert Kennedy. It’s as clear as the nose on your face. And we have the tail wagging the dog right now in this country. It’s it’s a shame.
