Looters who destroyed neighborhoods are not role models

-

To the Times:

I detest the evil piece of man, poor excuse for a human being who unmercifully killed George Floyd. He set the subsequent actions in motion.

I applaud the peaceful protesters. I abhor the looters and disrupters on both sides. Those who tried to rile up the participants such as the liar who said he was beat up for saying “All Lives Matter” when video showed he was actually in the crowd shooting his bow and arrow at people are as deplorable as the looters who stole and tore up neighborhoods.

Those idiots have stolen items, people’s jobs, people’s businesses, possibly some people’s lives due to the lack of jobs and revenue. Its disheartening. Make no mistakes the looters are not voters. The looters do not care about the Black Lives Matter movement. The looters do not care about their neighborhoods or their families. The looters are not role models. The looters are not us!

I am a proud black American woman who is a widow, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. I am embarrassed for and my heart goes out for any caring relative of those disrupters. I thank God for peaceful protesters and organizers and I pray for their safety. I take a knee to support justice for all.

(The risk of a surge in COVID-19 cases is higher due to the crowded beaches as well as the protests so our country; actually our planet needs fervent prayer as much as ever)
