Annual banquet postponed for second time
The Delaware County Athletes Hall of Fame 2020 induction banquet has been moved again. The dinner is tentatively scheduled for April 18, 2021, the organization’s board of directors announced on Sunday.
“The reasons for this action are simply the COVID-19
pandemic, and all the ensuing safety precautions required,” Delco Hall of Fame president John Leary said. “This was a decision taken very seriously, after all, no board has ever made a similar decision in the 81 years of our organization’s existence.”
The dinner was originally scheduled for April 19, but was moved to Sept. 20 in the wake of the pandemic.

High School 1969-70 boys volleyball team (Team Toyota of Glen Mills Team of Excellence Award).
The event is sold out and all reservations are safe and secure. If anyone has to make a change they are asked to contact Theresa Dunbar at dunbar1955@ icloud.com. Also, full page ad donors and sponsors will receive double coverage on the organization’s website (www.delcohalloffame.or) into 2021, secretary and fundraising chair Nick Cirilli said.
“The safety and well-being of our members, inductees, their families and friends, was first and foremost in making this difficult decision,” Leary said. “We hope and pray that this unprecedented situation will soon be resolved and we all return to normalcy, or whatever the new normalcy may be.”
