CHESTER » The Delaware County Daily Times’ Merry Christmas Fund enters Christmas Day over the 50 percent mark of its $50,000 goal. After spending mid-December trailing 2019’s figures by about 40%, the fund now stands 29% over Christmas Day 2019’s total of

The sea son’s donations to the Salvation Army Chester Corps provided food baskets and toys for between

250-300 area families this year. The fund will remain open through New Year’s Eve to help the Chester Corps of fset the costs of its many programs during the holiday season and stretch its general fund through 2021.

Another 16 donations arrived at the Chester Corps on Christmas Eve to build on Tuesday’s 12 and Wednesday’s 22.
