Bonner-Prendergast’s two wins were supplied by Grace McBlain, who captured the 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke.

Connor Hunt and Luke Olmstead bookended the meet by taking part in winning 200 medley and 400 free relay squads to lead Upper Darby to an 80-63 nonleague win over Bonner-Prendergast.

After a checkered start, yet as a reward for his recent strong play, Ben Simmons Tuesday was voted by the coaches into the NBA All-Star Game.

As for Tobias Harris, his year-long consistency was not proven to be as valued, and his career-long vigil for his first All-Star spot continued.

“It’s a blessing,” Simmons told NBC Sports Philadelphia before a 109-102 victory over the Toronto Raptors in Tampa. “But our goal is still to win a championship.”

Simmons will join Joel Embiid, who’d previously been elected as a starter in a vote of the fans, players and media, in the game, with the Sixers being rewarded for having jumped to the front of the Eastern Conference.

Consistently producing offense, and at critical times, Harris was averaging 20.6 points and was considered to be high among the most snubbed All-Star candidates. Rivers is confident it will not diminish Harris’ production.

“I don’t think anybody gets deterred for the rest of the season,” Rivers said. “They get disappointed for one night, and then they prove for the rest of the year that they should have made the All-Star team. We are playing for something bigger, honestly.”

Simmons, who scored 15 Tuesday, was averaging 15.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 7.9 assists and 1.7 steals.

LeBron James and Kevin Durant, the top vote-getters among the fan balloting in each conference, will fill out the rosters in a “draft” of the players selected as reserves.

Rivers will coach Team Durant in the March 7 game in Atlanta.

Seth Curry shot 4-for-12 in 29 minutes of the 110-103 loss Sunday. But shortly before the game Tuesday, he was scratched with left ankle soreness.

Furkan Korkmaz replaced Curry in the starting lineup and scored 19 points in 28 minutes, breaking out of a slump.

“With the starters, he has to do less,” Rivers said, “which allows him to do more.”

Said Korkmaz: “I needed one of these games. The last four or five, I was struggling.”

After missing five games with a sprained left ankle, Shake Milton played 29 minutes Sunday and scored nine points.

After a shoot-around Tuesday morning, he claimed no lingering effects.

“It was tough to be out,” he said. “You are doing rehab, trying to get in the best shape possible.”

As the sixth man and the backup point guard, Milton realizes the Sixers have needed more recently from the backup unit. Tuesday, he played 30 minutes, shot 3-for-6 from distance and scored 11 points.

“I just have to be aggressive, look for other guys and continue to encourage them,” Milton said. “With guys like Isaiah Joe and Furk, it doesn’t really take much for them to get going.”

The Sixers are 13-2 at home, yet are 8-9 on the road. There are two ways to view that. Rivers prefers the positive.

“Well, first of all, that means we are better than last year already,” he said. “So we are improving. It’s slow and steady. Some of these road games we have not been at full strength. Jo and Ben have missed several games on the road. That has hurt.”

The Sixers were 29-2 at home last season, 10-24 on the road.

“I think we are playing much better basketball, at least what I can see,” Rivers said. “I wasn’t here last year. But when I look at our record last year, I would say we’re playing better on the road right now.”

The Sixers responded to a postseason-like challenge by splitting the two-game road series.

“You have to make adjustments either way, if you win or you lose,” Rivers said. “But there definitely seems like there should be more of a sense of urgency if you lose. I like them. First of all, I just like less travel. But I like them.”
