William “Bill” David Haslett, 79, of Newtown Square, PA, entered his heavenly home on Friday, March 12, 2021 while surrounded by his loving family after a decade-long battle with cancer. He was devoted to his family as a husband, father, and grandfathe­r.

He was born on October 10, 1941 to Charles and Dorothy Haslett (née Wolf) in Philadelph­ia and later moved to Springfiel­d while he was in elementary school. He graduated from Springfiel­d High School in 1960 and joined the Coast Guard in June of 1961. While in the Coast Guard, he married Sharon Langley of Springfiel­d in June of 1964. He had a love for antique cars and was a faithful attendee of the AACA National Fall Meet in Hershey, PA every year 1962-2019. Bill and his wife enjoyed 49 years of square dancing. The most recent membership at Y-knots Club.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon (née Langley), sons Jack (Jamie) of Newtown Square and Tim (Emily) of Aston, and grandson Dillon. He was predecease­d by his sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Cramer (Gene), of New Ringgold, PA in 1991.

Friends and family are invited to the service at Manoa Community Church in Havertown, PA on Tuesday, March 23rd at 11:30 AM. The service will be live streamed, starting at 11:15 AM at https:// www.facebook.com/Loganfuner­alhomes. Calling hours start at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA.
