U.D. cops searching for missing woman
UPPER DARBY » Police are searching for a missing pregnant woman they say has not been seen since about 1 p.m. Tuesday.
According to police, 21-year-old Diana Brice was last seen at the K Laundry located at 544 Church Lane in Lansdowne, leaving with her boyfriend Justin Smith, 23.
Smith’s vehicle was found on fire in the area of 59th and Florence streets in Philadelphia about 5:30 p.m. the same day, according to police, but there was no operator or passenger in the vehicle.
Police Superintendent Timothy Bernhardt said officers had checked out a report that Smith and Brice got into an argument in Philadelphia and that she got out of the car at that time, but video surveillance at that location revealed they were never there.
Smith is not a suspect in any kind of wrongdoing and has not been listed as a missing person in Philadelphia, Bernhardt said. At this point, Bernhardt said his officers are treating it as a missing persons case for Brice.
Bernhardt said police had received a couple of tips over the last few days that Brice was spotted in Delaware and in Philadelphia, but both were confirmed not to be her.
Brice has not had access to her daily medication since she first went missing, according to police. She was last seen wearing a black Tshirt, black sweatpants, and a pair of Ugg slides that are pink, blue and yellow in color, police said.
Brice is approximately 4-foot 11 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds. She has a small black heart tattoo on her right hand, a Mickey Mouse glove with the letters “AJ” on her left forearm, and a rose on her left shoulder and right ankle. On her left shoulder, she has the
word “NANNY” tattooed and “My Brother’s Keeper” tattooed on her chest.
Anyone with any information on the whereabouts
of either Brice or Smith is urged to contact the Upper Darby Police Department Detective Division immediately at 610-734-7677.
