Diane Rose Ramey

-

(1960-2021) Diane Rose Ramey of Hilton Head, SC, rejoined her beloved parents and the Lord on April 5th after complications from surgery.

Diane lived and worked in Delaware County, PA for much of her life, and maintained a close connection to the area through family and friends after moving to Hilton Head.

Diane was born August 19th, 1960 to Helen I. and Daniel G. Grow Sr. and raised in Ringtown, PA. After high school she studied pharmacy and graduated from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy in 1983.

Diane pursued a remarkable career as a pharmacist and entrepreneur. After her first pharmacy job at Fair Acres in Media, she co-founded Burman’s Home Health Care in 1987. The business soon established a retail presence in Brookhaven which lasted until its sale in 2003. Diane’s career then took her to PerformRx in Philadelphia, where she met her husband Terry, and later to executive positions as a healthcare compliance officer and sought-after national consultant.

Her greatest achievements, however, were the love and friendship Diane shared with her family and friends. She was also a true super-mom, both a fulltime business owner and the proud mother of three children from her first marriage: Brett, Erica, and Natalie, who nicknamed her “Moopster.” As adults, all three kids were accustomed to having strangers convey great affection for their mother. Diane was truly one-of-a-kind.

Her favorite pastimes included tennis, swimming, and a passion for nature’s beauty. She particularly loved the ocean, and across three decades spent every summer at the shore in Cape May County.

Diane is survived by many who love her and will forever miss her thoughtfulness, loyal companionship, strength of character, and beauty: husband Terry Ramey; children Brett, Erica, & Natalie Burman; siblings Dan Jr, Jane, Donna ‘Dee’, & Russell; step-children Brian and Nick Ramey; Diane’s other step-children and many in-laws; 13 nieces and nephews; and innumerable friends.

Services will be held at the Oaks Ballroom in Glenolden, PA at noon on April 17th, 2021. All are welcome to attend (masks required).

In lieu of flowers the family requests you make a donation in Diane’s memory to United Cerebral Palsy of Central Pennsylvania.
