Thomas’ five goals leads Marple Newtown to a win
Cole Thomas led the offense and Jack Welsh stood tall in goal to lead Marple Newtown to an 11-4 victory over Lower Merion in Central League boys lacrosse action Wednesday.
Thomas scored five goals and Welsh made seven saves. Damien Bosche added two goals and two assists. Sydney Pyon had four goals and three ground balls to pace Garnet Valley to a 19-1 victory over Ridley in the Central League.

Sydney Worrell shot an 8-over par 43 at Overbrook Golf Club to pace Notre Dame to its second win in as many days with a 242-245 victory over Episcopal Academy. The Irish defeated Baldwin, 253-315 on Monday.
