Encarnacio­n’s two homers pace Expos in MSBL win

Gabe Encarnacio­n brought his top lumber to the plate Wednesday night.

Encarnacio­n launched two home runs and drove in three runs as the Top Lumber Expos topped Clifton Orioles, 8-4, in Delco MSBL action.

Matt Papa went the distance, striking out 11. Champ Sanchez, Larry Greenwich Jr., Len Montana and Joe Suppa each supplied RBI hits.

MEDIA MUSTANGS 6, DELCO TIGERS 4 » Bill Cody and Garrett Hall combined to allow just six hits, Cody getting the victory. Chris Schilling added two RBIs.

GLEN MILLS RAYS 1, SPRINGFIEL­D CARDINALS 0 » Mike Fortuna’s RBI single in the top of the eighth made the difference. It also made a winner of Kyle Toomey, who allowed one hit over seven spotless innings, striking out eight. Bill Ford mopped up for the save.

UPPER DARBY 4, NARBERTH 3 » Tom McNulty’s two-out single in the fifth put UD up for good. Matt Cavanaugh got the win with five solid innings, and Bobby Pothier recorded six outs to hold down the save.

In the Mid-County League: INTERBORO 4, BROOKHAVEN 2 » Bernie Seasock and Ethan Seasock scored runs for Brookhaven, but it wasn’t enough in a game played Tuesday.

Pat Tackney clubbed a walkoff two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. Chris Trainor tossed three solid innings for the victory.

Frank Taparata rapped a walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th to lead Goshen Beverage to an 11-10 win over Ampro Screen Printing in the Brandywine Valley Senior League’s Gold Division Wednesday.
