SEEING ORANGE

I read Charlie Sexton’s letter with great interest and, yes, I agree that there was never so much hate and divisiveness during G.H. and G.W. Bush’s reign. There was always mud slinging on both parties but never so much animus as we have now. Hmmm ... let’s ponder on how this deep hatred started — the big buffoon, incompetent, egotistical dictator comes to mind. This numbskull poisoned the Republican Party and it may not be the same again. What a shame!

Dr. Oz shows what a hypocrite he is. He is a carpetbagger running in Pennsylvania who is from

New Jersey. He says Pennsylvania needs a conservative who puts America first. Conservatives never put America first. Christian conservatives are first, last and always. You can tell the conservatives don’t put America first just with the Republicans have done to our country over the last 50 years.

HOW TO SUCCEED

When I went to school teachers had a book and a piece of chalk. We sat in our seats, listened, behaved, did all assignments and learned how to be successful. I went on to be a high school teacher. Student success is not about money or school choice. School choice drains away the successful students. They are successful because they are supported by a caring parent a good school is only as good as the students and parents. Teachers are as qualified in the failing districts as in the blue ribbon. Parents must ensure their students come to school rested and with a commitment to work and learn. Students need to attend school daily, stop walking the halls, behave in class and do their homework. Failing schools are underserved -- underserved by parents and students.

Kudos to our Charlie Sexton from Springfield. Finally a politician that’s telling the truth. I agree with his whole letter. it should be printed in the newspaper at least once a week until the American people realize that that’s how it was.

GET WOKE AMERICA

Wake up, America. I can’t agree more but the letter to the editor that Charles P. Sexton Jr. from Springfield put in there today. He was true and to the point of how it was back in the day. Yeah, we did two years in the service. I was drafted during Vietnam, still made a good living after I got out. We have to be strong. We’re not today. We got to step ahead of China and not that China step ahead of us.

Talking about the article on page 7 of your paper. Pennsylvania will raise lawmakers’ salaries nearly $5,000 a month. What a rip off. State employees and teachers haven’t had a raise and so these guys passed their law to get automatic pay raise because they didn’t want to vote for the legislation. Let’s have a raise for the working man state employee.

I am extremely blessed to have six healthy grandchildren since I watched them as their parents work. I run them here and I run them. Yes, I have an SUV. I just got it filled up and it cost me $80. When Donald Trump was in office. It cost me $38.50 to fill it up. So thank you,

Joe Biden. And also, how can milk jump from $3.85 a gallon to $4.05 a gallon within two weeks? Thanks. Again, Joe Biden, you are ruining the people’s lives of America. You should step down. Do the right thing.

HELP YOURSELF

This is for “JB.” You are one of the idiots. I read your little little article about Rittenhouse. You got to be kidding me. If he keeps walking around with that AR-15 and people come up to you and try and attack you or swing a chain at you or anything else, he fears for his life. He has every reason to defend himself. First of all, you have to be a nitwit as you said the even go up and bother a person walking around with a gun. Why would anybody want to attack anyone with a gun? You know, there’s self-defense laws out there. That’s why a lot of us carry guns.
