The following events are planned for the week ahead throughout the region:

• One of the most influentia­l artists of his time and a true ambassador of Latin music and culture, Marc Anthony brings his “Pa’lla Voy” tour to Santander Arena, Reading, tonight at 8. A six-time Grammy and Latin Grammy awardwinne­r, Anthony has earned countless gold and platinum certificat­ions from the Recording Industry Associatio­n of America and has over 30Billboar­d chart hits and over 7.1 billion views on YouTube to his credit. In 2019, he released “Opus,” his first new studio album in six years. “Opus” is his eighth salsa album since “Otra Nota” establishe­d him in 1993. In addition to winning the 2020 Grammy for Best Tropical Album, “Opus” was nominated for Latin American Music Awards for Favorite Album, Favorite Artist Tropical, Favorite Song (“Parecen Viernes”) and Favorite

• Joe Conklin joins forces with the world-renowned City Rhythm Orchestra for a night of comedy and music on Friday at 8 p.m. at the Colonial Theatre, Phoenixvil­le. In a salute to the Philadelph­ia sports teams and their fans, Conklin takes audiences on a nostalgic journey featuring all of his celebrity voice impression­s; an 8-piece orchestra; a cast of singers including John Conklin, Casey Conklin, Tricia Gozzi, Debra Toscano and Steve Ritrovato; and surprise guests. • Comedian Nate Bargatze brings his The Raincheck Tour to the Santander Performing Arts Center, Reading, today at 7p.m. Fresh off the release of his highly anticipate­d second Netflix special, “The Greatest Average American,” Bargatze will feature all new material. Hailing from Old Hickory, Tenn., Bargatze sells out shows across the world. His comedy is both clean and relatable. • The local band Highway 61Revival will present the songs of Bob Dylan at the Newtown Theatre on Saturday at 8p.m. The self-described “Dylan geeks” who make up Highway 61 Revival have been celebratin­g their hero’s birthday with shows each May for the past seven years. This will be their first show in Newtown. The band is made up of Paul Wilkinson on guitar, Daniel Bower on drums, Brad Hinton on guitar and lap steel, Tim Celfo on bass and Ben Smith on keyboards. They will play two sets of Dylan songs, with each bandmember taking turns leading songs. Tickets are $35at thenewtown­theatre.com.

• The WCR Center for the Arts in downtown Reading will host Grammynomi­nated musician Simon Shaheen as he performs with his trio on Saturday at 8p.m. Shaheen is one of the most significan­t Arab musicians, performers and composers of his generation. He dazzles listeners as he deftly leaps from traditiona­l Arab sounds to jazz and Western classical styles. His soaring technique, melodic ingenuity and unparallel­ed grace have earned him internatio­nal acclaim as a virtuoso on the oud and violin. • The KU Presents! cultural arts series presents Tablao Flamenco on Tuesday at 7:30p.m. in Schaeffer Auditorium on campus. Tablao Flamenco presents a fresh approach to a fiery evening of authentic music and dance from southern Spain. This unique art form derives from a centuries-long intermingl­ing of cultures, and this company consists of masterful musicians and dancers from Spain, France, New York City and California. • A Punk Rock Flea Market Spring Shopping Spectacula­r is set for Sunday from 1to 6p.m. at Root Down Brewing, Phoenixvil­le. Vendors will offer original art, vintage toys, vinyl records, CDs, cassettes, horror-related items, clothing, taxidermy, handmade jewelry, quirky housewares, comics, books, movies and more. Tony Cadaver will be providing the soundtrack for the day featuring punk, new wave, metal, garage, glam and more, accompanie­d by a guest vinyl DJ. Admission is free. Anyone under 21must be accompanie­d by an adult.

• The Keswick Theatre, Glenside, presents comedian Tom Papa on Saturday at 8p.m. and Henry Rollins’ Good To See You spoken word tour on Sunday at 8p.m. With more than 20years in stand-up, Papa is one of the top comedic voices in the country, finding success in film, TV, radio and podcasts, as well as on stage. He is a regular guest on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast and late-night TV shows.

The punk rock icon Rollins will “faithfully recount the events of his life in the brief pre-COVID period since the last tour and when things got even stranger over the last several months,” according to a statement announcing the shows.
