Anderson, Carr help Bonner-Prendie triumph

Michael Anderson pitched six strong innings and Harry Carr struck out the side in the seventh inning to earn the save as BonnerPren­dergast downed Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, 3-0, in a nonleague baseball game.

Anderson allowed four hits and a walk while striking out six to get the win.

Irv Fisher belted an RBI double and James Sousa had a hit, walk and run scored for the Friars (2-0).

In the Central League:

MARPLE NEWTOWN 11, RADNOR 6 » Aiden Pearson laced a three-run double in the third inning, putting the Tigers ahead for good. Jason Bennett and Bennett Cox contribute­d RBI hits in a three-run seventh inning.

Jimmy Wigo (six strikeouts) was the winning pitcher. Jack Condran and Jude Wallin each had two hits for the Raptors.

Softball

Zoey Rogers blasted a bases-clearing double to break things open and put Garnet Valley on the way to a 10-0 win over Upper Darby in Central League action.

Rogers was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Sophia DiJoseph drove home two runs and winning pitcher Anna Sidlowski was 2-for-2 with a double, triple, two walks, two runs and a pair of ribbies. Sidlowski threw a one-hitter with 14 strikeouts. MARPLE NEWTOWN 18, CHICHESTER 5 » Kelsey Racine recorded nine strikeouts in five innings of relief as the Tigers trounced the Eagles. Racine also slugged a double and knocked in three runs.

Lindsay Walsh was 3-for-4 with a double, three runs scored, two RBIs and a walk. Amanda O’Keefe also pounded out three hits and collected three RBIs.

Arianna Chichericc­o was 2-for-2 and Maria Taylor had an RBI triple for the Eagles.

Boys Lacrosse

Tristan Whitaker scored two goals and Lucas Slates added a goal and assist for Episcopal Academy, but the Churchmen went down 17-5 to St. John’s. Andrew McMeekin won 15 of 26 faceoffs.

Girls Lacrosse

Ameila Reinholt scored four goals to lead

Radnor to a 12-9 Central League victory over Strath Haven.

Sarah Kelley recorded a hat trick and Olivia Kelley chipped in with two goals and three draw controls for the Raptors. Julia Breedveld dominated the draw with 12 wins and goalie Arden Jansen finished with eight saves.

Conestoga 15, Haverford 9 >> Emma Rowland had a stellar game for the Fords, posting five goals, four draw controls and three groundball­s. Ava Pradelli contribute­d two goals and Hillery Elsner had a goal and an assist.

Haverford goalie Rory Turner made 12 saves, including the 200th of her career.

In the Inter-Ac League:

EPISCOPAL ACADEMY 11, PENN CHARTER 10 » Brooke Stocku netted the game-winning goal for the Churchwome­n. Lex Ventresca scored three times and Sydney Richter (eight draw controls) and Quinn Whitaker ended with two goals each. Goalie Grace Holland turned aside seven shots.

In nonleague action:

ARCHBISHOP CARROLL 11, BISHOP SHANAHAN 8 » Kiley Mottice (two assists) and Ava

Bleckley each supplied a hat trick as the Patriots (6-0) outscored the Eagles, 5-2, in the second half. Emma Talago and Chloe Bleckley added two goals apiece, while goalie Bridget Robinson had five saves for Carroll.

Boys Tennis

Nik Walling and Ishan Bhattachar­yya’s 6-1, 6-3 win at fourth doubles lifted Episcopal Academy past Penn Charter, 4-3, in an Inter-Ac League match.

The Churchmen swept doubles play after losing all three singles contests. Noko Lavi and Connor Chambers were 6-4, 6-3 winners. Hunter Stetson and Xin Xin Feng triumphed a 6-2, 6-0, while Noah Ganzhorn and Sam Graham earned a 6-4, 7-6 (5) victory.

In the Central League:

GARNET VALLEY 7, UPPER DARBY 0 » The Jaguars lost only one game on the day. No. 1 singles Rithik Brahma set the tone with a 6-1, 6-0 victory. Srihari Raman and Shailesh Bolduc both claimed a 6-0, 6-0 win at second and third singles, respective­ly.
