John Albert Oberg
John Albert Oberg, age 88, passed away at Spring Village Homes in Galloway Township on Wednesday, May 4, 2022.
Mr. Oberg was born in Marcus Hook, PA to Albert and Anna McBride Oberg. After graduating from the University of Delaware and serving in the United States Army, he spent over thirty-five years in Franklinville, NJ. In Franklinville, he was a beloved teacher, coach and athletic director at Delsea Regional High School from 1960 until his retirement in 1998. He was a member of Saint Kolbe Maximilian Parish who loved nothing more in life than spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his son, John Oberg and daughter in law Cindy Oberg; son, Kevin Oberg and daughter Michelle Oberg; Grandchildren, Kevin Oberg, Jamie Oberg, Michael J. Oberg, Kelli Eagan, Matt Eagan, John C. Oberg, Patrick Oberg, Michael P. Oberg, Maryanna Oberg, and Jenna Oberg; Great
grandchildren, McKenzi Oberg, Megan Oberg, Mason Oberg, Maddox Lewis, Kevin R. Oberg, John M. Oberg and Madelyn Oberg; brother Thomas Oberg.
He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Oberg; siblings, Joseph Oberg, Francis Oberg, Albert Oberg, Betty Sullivan and Eileen Healy; Daughter-in-law Darlene Oberg.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday morning, May 11th at 11 o’clock from Church of the Resurrection of St. Maximillian Kolbe
Parish, 200 West Tuckahoe Road, Marmora, NJ where friends may call and visitation will be from 9:00 am until 10:45 am. Burial is private.

Bear, their faithful Jack Russell terrier. He is survived by his mother Susan, sister Linette, extended family, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen G. Stott.
