COULDA, WOULDA

The G7 democracies pledged to ban or phase out imports of Russian oil. And Joe missed another perfect opportunity to show the world he is a great leader. He could have pledged to increase U.S. production of oil and natural gas to help our allies in there time of need. But his handlers can’t have that. It would undermine their plan end our dependency on oil and natural gas. Wake up Joe, don’t let them control you like that. We need a president, not a lackey.

WHAT’S NEXT?

If the SCOTUS, loaded with Trump’s nominees, decide to outlaw abortion, will they ask Congress to enact a Federal Orphanage Program for the “heartbeats” that the “birthers” don’t want because the “sperm donor” is a rapist, or now the father and grandfather, unknown, or because they are juveniles, incarcerated, homeless, or any some other reason? What will happen to these newborn babies? Not your problem, right! Not to mention the medical costs, will the taxpayers incur those costs? Trump must be against abortion. The U.S. gave free vacs for COVID. Will free condoms be next?

Mother’s Day columns were printed; abortion, gun control and other political articles are always readily printed, but educational columns regarding graduations (even though we are in the midst of graduations now) aren’t printed. Graduations and other informative columns are not controversial, but they are refreshing and enlightening. Doesn’t the Delco Times want that anymore? What a disappointment! Most of the readers do want that, editor.

Ah, for cryin’ out loud. Go ahead and be “prolife” if you must but you really need to stop with that stupid ridiculous argument put out by “That’ll Show Them.” How many of six million aborted fetuses would’ve done this or that great and wonderful thing? You don’t know, and you can’t know. Just like you don’t and can’t know the following - how many of the six million would’ve become tree-hugging, abortion-loving liberals? How many of the six million would’ve become gun-toting tiki torch-carrying right-wing scum? How many would’ve started a nuclear war if they could, created a humanity destroying virus? Right-wingers usually expect the worst out of people, except when it comes to fetuses, then it’s all sunshine and flowers. People turn out anywhere from great to terrible doing great to terrible things. Roll of the dice, and you can’t predict. There are other pro-life arguments that at least aren’t stupid. This ain’t one of them. Put it to rest.

Or maybe a better idea is to place a red tattoo on the forehead of those who committed incest or rape? Your train of thought is completely ridiculous and unwarranted.

ABOUT THOSE WIDGETS

“Roadkill65” if I could explain something to you. You started selling, we’ll say widgets, and you got pretty good at it. You saved your money and bought a store. You got to where you bought 1,000 widgets a month at $10 each. You sold said widgets at $20 each. You have taxes and paychecks to meet. Your delivery person comes in and says widgets are going up next month to $20 each. Unless you’re willing to use all of that month’s money you use to buy your product and make no profit or do you up prices now and that way it won’t affect next month’s income, wanna bet you’ll raise prices now? Gas stations don’t make that much from each gallon and can’t afford to take a bath.
