Triple winner Kennedy has record-setting day for Ridley Township

Rori Kennedy’s recordsett­ing day was what Ridley Township Swim Club needed to get past Karakung, 254223, on the opening day of the Delco Swim League season Saturday.

Kennedy won the 14-andunder girls 100 individual medley, 50 backstroke and 50 breaststro­ke. She set a team record in the 50 back, going 29.84 seconds.

Ridley dominated the younger age groups. Fellow 14U Cody Hollenbach won the 50 butterfly, 50 freestyle and 50 back. Hunter Zimmerman (100 IM, 50 fly and 50 free) and Wyatt Hoke (50 back and 50 breast) divvied up the 12U boys competitio­ns, while Hoke swam up to claim the 14U 100 IM. Eli Hoke and Cole Evangelist­a swept the 10U boys events, combining on a winning relay, and Brody Zimmerman won the 8U boys fly, free and relay. Peter Acquarola set the RTSC record in the boys 8U 25 breast at 22.34 seconds.

Karakung’s three triplewinn­ers came on the girls side: 10U Eleanor Stewart (fly, free, relay), 12U Ellyse Cafrey (IM, fly, relay) and 18U Sarah Krissinger (back, free, relay).

LAWRENCE PARK 276, HILLTOP 197 » Briana Klock set a Lawrence Park record in the 12U 100 IM, klocking in at 1:12.34 to win the race Saturday. She also won the 12U girls breast and free.

LPSC reset the pool record in the 10U girls free relay, the team of Greta Wooster, Beatrix Wilent, Violet Tripple and Kelsey Bianco going 1:06.40. Bianco won the fly and free before that.

Thomas Petrucci won the 8U boys fly, breast and free for Lawrence Park. The hosts swept the 18U girls division via Alexa Conner (fly, back, free) and Rosa Huffman (IM, breast, relay).

Hilltop got three wins each from 14U girls relay teammates Winifred Hayes (fly, breast) and Francesca

Hayes (back, free).

FOLCROFT 173, PRIMOS 87 » Youth led the way for Folcroft in a low-scoring affair, as did the Macauleys, who contribute­d five Folcroft triple winners.

Wyatt and Caleb Macauley split up the honors in the boys 10U division. Charlie Macauley won the 8U girls back, breast and free. Taylor Macauley claimed the 10U fly, breast and relay. Julia Macauley won the 14U IM, fly and free.

In non- Macauley news, Maria Washington won the 10U IM and back. Her relay mate Briana Alessandri­ne won the 10U back and free. Pat Manuel claimed the 8U fly, back and free.

Eighteen-and-under led Primos, with Emily Moore winning the girls IM, free and relay, and Ryan Chandler claiming the boys breast, free and relay. Travis Meehan was first in the 12U boys fly, breast and relay.

BROOMALL’S LAKE 263, RIDLEY PARK 188 » The 14U girls relay squad set a BLCC pool and team record by going 2:02.22 in the 200 free relay. The squad comprised Morgan Peterson, Anneliese McKean, Amelie Reno and Addison Schwelm.

Peterson won backstroke and breaststro­ke races in her division. Ruby Schwelm won the other three 14U races — IM, fly and free.

Adison Strasser (IM, back) and Eva Graff (back, free) combined on a relay to divide the 12U girls spoils. Sophia Saulino and Beppe Tangorra won the 18U fly, free and free relay for boys and girls, respective­ly.

Braydan Saunders provided Ridley Park’s highlight, with a pool and team record in the 10U boys 25 fly at 15.31 seconds. He also won the breast and free races. Riley Faust won the 10U girls back, free and relay for RPSC, and Anthony Bailey claimed the 8U boys fly, back and relay.

LANSDOWNE 306, SPRINGFIEL­D 165 » Catherine

DeMartinis led the way by winning the 12U girls IM, breast and free for Lansdowne, the only one of LSC’s six triple-winners to do so with individual events.

Twelve-and-under relay mates Leo Eichstaedt (IM, fly) and Colten Turner (back, free) won twice each. Ivie Enakhimion and Brady Turner each swept their back and free races to go with a relay triumph, and Cyril Rogers Wright won the 10U boys breast, free and relay.

Springfiel­d’s boys 18U relay set a team and pool record of 1:32.58 with the team of Jake Kennedy, Michael Huegel, Alex Chan and Ben Kutufaris. The latter also won the 50 breast and 100 free.

Megan Myers earned wins in the 10U girls fly, back and free, the same events won by 8U boy Joey Berardocco. BROOKHAVEN 249, RIDDLEWOOD 182 » Brookhaven’s Lucy McClellan, Gabe Gallagher and Kara Damico win three individual events each to power them to victory.

McClellan claimed the 14U girls 100 IM, 50 fly and 50 back. Gallagher took down the 100 IM, 50 fly and 50 breast in the 12U division. Damico was tops in the 18U girls 100 IM, fly and free.

Sabo Graham added wins in the 18U boys 100 IM, 50 breast and free relay for Brookhaven.

Devyn Klineburge­r paced Riddlewood by winning the 8U girls fly, free and mixed relay. Jess Catania took home the 12U girls 100 IM, back and free.

BRIARCLIFF­E 301, CLIFTON HEIGHTS 185 » Briarcliff­e produced all eight triple-winners on the day, including four from the 18U division. The Traverses — Jeff (IM, free) and Josh (fly, back) — combined on a boys relay triumph, as did breast/fly winner Ava Despeaux and back/free winner Hannah Walkowiak on the girls side.

Alan Huynh and Michael Seeger won three events each, claiming the IM, back and free among 12U and 14U boys, respective­ly. Max Walkowiak won the 10U boys fly, breast and free relay. Addyson Despeaux prevailed in the 14U girls IM, back and free relay.

Suburban Swim League

Sydney Bergstrom won the 18U girls medley relay, free relay, breaststro­ke and freestyle events to pace Swarthmore Swim Club’s 273-200 win over Aronimink.

Cash Mote (10U boys back, free), Rory McHugh (12U boys back, breast) and Julia Parker (14U girls back, fly) each paired a pair of individual wins with two relays victories.

Gavin Shifflett and Emilio Celebre each won an individual event to go with two 18U relay wins, as did Jo Kelly and Ella Shifflett in the 18U girls competitio­n. Fiona Lehman, Hannah May and Matilda Turbiville combined on two winning 8U relays to go with individual event wins, as did Gabe Cocos for the 10U boys, John Kelly for the 12U boys and Sylvie Bergstrom in 14U girls. HIDDEN HOLLOW 257, ROSE VALLEY 193 » Paul Iovaccini won the 12U boys 50 back and free, Maack Rimler claimed the 12U boys breast and fly, and the duo teamed up to win a pair of relays for HHSC.

Meghan Neidich won three individual events for Hidden Hollow, sweeping the 12U girls breast, free and fly. Keegan Barnes (breast and fly) and Michael Thomas (back and free) dominated the 10U boys competitio­n before teaming up for a medley relay win. Jillian Burke-Huyette won the 10U girls breast, fly and relay. Evie Watkins was quickest in the 14U girls breast and fly before teaming up with Siena Scungio on the winning medley relay. Scungio also claimed free relay and backstroke victories.

Wallingfor­d 298, Splash 169 >> Wallingfor­d’s relay dominance led the way to eight quadruple winners and eight triple winners. Maya Putty and Anna Warley split up the stroke wins in the 14U girls competitio­n. Elizabeth Gaffney and Travis McDonough won the back and free in the 8U girls and 12U boys divisions, respective­ly. Phillip Viera claimed the 14U boys free and breast. Jack Grider won the 10U boys back and breast, Harry Hyzer claimed the 10U breast and fly and Elizabeth Whitehead claimed the 12U girls back and fly.

Adeline Keller (8U girls), Lauren Montague (10U girls), Ben Lu and Mario DiSilva (both 12U boys), Cayla Gaffney (12U girls), Julian Kirnos (14U boys), Abbey Schofield (18U girls) and Justin Wilson (18U boys) each paired an individual event win with two relay triumphs.

Intra-County League

Alex Giordano’s wins in the boys 12-and-under IM, fly and breast paced Prospect Park to a 235-172 win over Nassau.

Haleigh Devenny and Madison Ford each won their fly, back and free races, in the 8U and 12U girls divisions, respective­ly. Kaylie Ford claimed the girls 14U IM, free and relay, and Marin Daniels reigned in the 18U girls IM, back and free.

Four of Nassau’s triple winners came on the boys side. Joey Meyer claimed the 8U fly, back and free, the same events won by Dominic Decro against 10U foes. Jackson Moritz captured the 14U IM, fly and back. Michael Tittermary was the top 18U in back, free and the relay. Aubrey Meyer added wins in the girls 10U fly, back and relay for Nassau.
