Janice M. Beale (nee Monteith)

Janice M. Beale (nee Monteith) passed away peacefully on July 13, 2022. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Ralph G. Monteith and Alice Coffman Monteith Taylor.

Devoted mother of Christopher (Lynn), Charles (Donah) and James (Camilla) Beale, Janice Beale Zangara (Gary) and Susan Cashin (Kevin); dear sister of the late Carroll Monteith; step daughter of the late Col. Glenn Taylor and mother of the late Pamela Beale. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Janice received her Registered Nursing Degree from Philadelphia General Hospital. She worked as a Private Duty Nurse at City Hospitals and Taylor Hospital and Crozer Chester Medical Center. She served the Ridley School District as School Nurse for

27 years helping children. Mrs. Beale furthered her education and also received a Bachelor of Arts from Glassboro College and her Master’s Degree from Villanova University.

Janice had professional memberships in the NEA, PSEA and was a member of the Alumni Association of Philadelphia General Hospital. She was a participating member of the Ship Preservation Guild and former crew member of the Wooden Tall Ship

Gazela. She was also a volunteer counselor at the Domestic Abuse Project and volunteer and buddy at the Delaware County Aids Network.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Service Saturday (July 23,2022) at 11 AM at Lima Estates, 411 N. Middletown Rd., Media, PA 19063.
