Blotter: child luring try, $12,000 watch stolen, lewd conduct

Some of the highlights of recent state police press releases from the Media station:

Lewd conduct: Oct. 26, 3:25 p.m. At Baltimore Pike and Evergreen Drive in Concord Township, troopers were called for a male masturbati­ng in his 2017 Ford Fusion in a parking lot.

Theft of motor vehicle: Nov. 2, 10:48 a.m. Troopers were called to the McIntosh Inn on South New Middletown Road for a vehicle theft. The victim had lent his 2016 Jeep to a subject who did not return it, then did, asked again and drove off without permission.

Hospital disorderly: Nov. 2, 6:36 p.m. A 37 year-old Claymont man was charged with disorderly conduct after making threats toward staff in the waiting room at Riddle Hospital.

Drug possession: Nov. 2just after midnight. Troopers made contact with a disabled motorist on Interstate 95north at mile marker 6.4 in Ridley Township. The operator, Radneil Brown, 24, from Folcroft was found to be in possession of suspected psilocybin mushrooms and marijuana and taken into custody.

Catalytic converter theft: Nov. 9, 1:21 p.m. Troopers were called to West Baltimore Pike for the theft of a catalytic converter valued at over $1,600 from a 2000 Ford at the Media Camping Center.

Drug possession: Nov. 10, 2:26 a.m. Troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2008Honda on Wilmington Pike near Smithbridg­e Road in Concord Township for traffic violations. Upon investigat­ion the driver, identified as Azyir Worsham,18 of Philadelph­ia, was found to be in possession of a controlled substance, and arrested.

Theft by deception: Nov. 11,

3 p.m. At Maris Way, troopers received the report of an unknown actor using a 87year-old females personal informatio­n to make online transactio­ns.

Theft: Nov. 12, 10:12 a.m. Employees at Audi West Chester, 1421 Wilmington Pike, reported a theft of $8,400in auto parts through fraud. The parts were ordered from a legitimate-looking auto repair shop in Bronx N.Y. and paid for by credit card. After the parts were picked up by a third party, the parts were charged back by the credit card company

Theft: Nov. 14, 3:45 p.m. Troopers were called to Maris Grove where a caregiver may have compromise­d a 88-year-old resident’s credit card and debit numbers to make fraudulent online purchases over $460.

Theft: Nov. 14, 1 p.m. A resident on Cheyney Road in Concord Township reported the theft of garage door opener from their 2017 Mercedes Benz G-Wagan. Nothing else was taken from the house or vehicle

Burglary: Nov. 15, 7:48 p.m. Troopers responded to a home on Pin Oak Drive in Chadds Ford Township for the report of a break-in. Actors broke a rear glass door and once inside rummaged through draws in every room.

Taken was $600 and a burgundy Frank Muller watch valued at $12,000.

Shopliftin­g: Nov. 17, 3 p.m. Two men and a woman entered The

Gap on Wilmington Pike and stole over $1,000in merchandis­e including Blue Gap coats and Gap hoodies.

Harassment: Nov. 17, 5 p.m. A 30 year-old male form Willow Grove, Montgomery County, reported being punched in the face by a friend about five times before getting kicked out of the Uber.

Fight: Nov. 17, 8:01 a.m. Troopers were dispatched to Dilworthto­wn and South Concord roads for the report of two males fighting after a crash. No injuries were suffered and both subjects — a 17 year old and a 56 year old, both of Chadds Ford — cooperated and both left the scene.

Theft: Nov. 19, 1:30p.m. A 38-year-old Glen Mills man reported the theft of his wallet from a Baltimore Pike building. The man, who works in the building, left his jacket with his wallet in a common area. Two credit cards were used online with negative results.

DUI: Nov. 19, 2:55 a.m. Troopers initiated a traffic stop of a 2016 Mazda 6 at Wilmington Pike and Spring Hill Road. Through investigat­ion the operator, identified as Corey Davis, 28, of New Castle, Delaware, was found to be under the influence.

Attempted child luring: Nov. 20, 6:36 p.m. Troopers were called to the area of Meadowood Lane and and High Meadow Drive in Middletown Township for a report of an attempted child luring about 30 minutes earlier. A younger adult male wearing a surgical mask in a dark-colored sedan attempted to lure the 9-year-old boy into the vehicle. The child believed the vehicle to be an older model Honda or Toyota. Any department­s investigat­ing similar incidents are asked to contact Trooper Vose at 484-840-1000

DUI suspended, again DUI: Nov. 22, 11:51 a.m. Troopers on Interstate 95stopped a 2007Merced­es Benz R350at mile marker 8.4 in Tinicum Township for a vehicle code violation observed. Upon further investigat­ion the operator, identified as Stephanie Smith, 41, Darby, was found to have a DUI suspended license and was DUI and in possession of marijuana. She was arrested, processed and released.

Accident: Nov. 23, 1:36 p.m. The driver of a Cadillac southbound on Interstate 95attempte­d to make a U-turn in the median at mile marker 10.5. The vehicle struck a 2016 Nissan Maxima. Two occupants of the Maxima received minor injuries and were transporte­d to Crozer Chester. The Cadillac was driven by a Williamspo­rt man who was cited for an illegal turn.

Shopliftin­g: Nov. 25, 4:14 p.m. State police intercepte­d a retail theft in progress at the Home Depot in Concord Township. They charged James Arnold, 52, of New Castle, Delaware, with the theft of hundreds of dollars in items, including toilet paper packs, paper towels, power tools, a fan and a $7 window insulation kit.
