Media’s Body Align Studio offers innovative Gyrotonic exercise
“It’s been so exciting to introduce a totally new exercise modality to the Media community over the last year and a half,” said Deborah “Deb” Zdobinski, licensed Gyrotonic Trainer and founder of Body Align Studio, the first fitness establishment to offer the Gyrotonic Exercise Method in Media, PA. “When I opened my studio in May 2021, no one in the area had ever heard of Gyrotonic exercise,” she said. “But most people who tried it really liked it and said they felt
great afterwards. Amazingly, I’m still working one-on-one with about a dozen people who started back then and are now practicing Gyrotonic exercise with me once or twice a week.”
Deb continues to hone her skills and recently completed courses in Gyrotonic Applications for the Fascial Body and a Gyrotonic Pulley
Tower Training Course for Hip and Lower Back with Therapeutic Applications and Particular Attention for Hip Replacement (Pre- and Post-Surgery). The same principles and applications apply to those with other hip-related issues — most of which are often caused from lower back problems in the first place. In addition, she’s been working with a client who is recovering from a stroke to augment her physical and occupational therapy sessions.
Deb could be considered a triple threat when it comes to exciting careers. First as a ballet dancer performing leading roles with The San Francisco Ballet and as an international guest artist followed by a 25+ career as a corporate executive on Madison Avenue. Her unique blend of physical awareness and agility as a ballet dancer, combined with her communications skills from the advertising world, enable her to provide highly personalized coaching in a thoughtful, safe and insightful way.
