It’s been quite a busy year for Duran Duran, one that started way back on a warm March evening in Los Angeles when the new wave icons took to the rooftop of the Aster private members club at Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street to perform a one-hour set of hits from their lengthy career.

Now, following a run of cinema screenings in 34 countries, the docu-concert dubbed “A Hollywood High” is showing on the streaming service Veeps.

Packed with hits from across the U.K. outfit’s catalog like “Notorious,” “A View to a Kill” and “Come Undone” together with songs from their latest album, “Future Past,” the night saw the LA skyline hovering in the background, making for a truly unique show.

“For our first U.S. show in several years, we wanted to do something really special and intimate,” keyboardist Nick Rhodes said in a statement.

“After considering many options, a rooftop performance quickly became the frontrunner. It was post-pandemic, we had never done anything like that before, and we had just released a new album. Somehow it seemed like a magical doorway to the next part of our journey.”

That journey so far in 2022 has included a live performance at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee concert at Buckingham Palace, headline show London’s Hyde Park and,

in a full circle moment, the band closed the opening ceremony of the 2022 Commonwealth Games in the band’s hometown of Birmingham.

All that took place before Duran Duran embarked on a headline tour of North America that included sold-out shows at iconic venues such as New York’s Madison Square Garden and three nights at the Hollywood Bowl.

They were also given a long overdue induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame early last month and next weekend will take part in Ryan Seacrest’s ushering in of 2023 on “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” live from Times Square.

“A Hollywood High” streaming on Veeps is the perfect way to wrap up the eventful 12 months in what already seems like another landmark moment in a storied career.

The docu-concert also features exclusive new interviews, behind-thescenes clips and archival footage that together tell the tale of the band’s longtime love affair with Los Angeles, the city that helped make it back in the early 1980s.

“Duran Duran have had an enduring relationship with the City of Los Angeles since the first time we came to America,” said bassist John Taylor. “We were determined to do something unique to celebrate our four decades together. A rooftop performance in LA with the Capitol Records building across the street and the Hollywood sign looming in the distance sounded perfect and turned out to be an extraordinary night for all of us.”

The film is the first Veeps show to be enabled with 4K/UHD, Dolby Digital and Atmos, as well as closed captions and subtitles, making it the first concert streaming platform to offer the highest quality, cinema-grade sound and audio currently available.

Tickets for the stream are $17.99, and available at DuranDuran.veeps.com. Viewers can experience “A
