Gillis, Roscoe, Wright help boost Penn Wood into share of league lead

Xenia Gillis, Ani Roscoe and Mariah Wright combined for 51 points to help Penn Wood beat Academy Park, 64-55 and move into a first-place tie in the Del Val League with the Knights.

Gillis led all scorers with 23 points. Roscoe added 18 and Wright 10.

Alaysia Kinlaw scored 23 points to share game-high honors and lead Academy Park. Semaji Young pitched in with 11 points. CHESTER 70, CHICHESTER 37 » Shyne Hall and Jaymya Muhammad poured in 27 points each to lead the Clippers. Imani Dorsey chipped in with 18.

Tah’kya Pray collected 12 points and 10 rebounds and Zanai Coleman had 10 points and 10 boards for the Eagles.

In the Central League:

HAVERFORD 42, GARNET VALLEY 28 » Caroline Dotsey poured in 27 points to put the finishing touch on an undefeated regular season for the Fords.

Haylie Adamski topped the Jaguars with 15 points. Kylie Mulholland added 10 points.

RADNOR 68, STRATH HAVEN 60 » Caroline Monahan saved 11 of her 13 points for overtime to help the Raptors prevail in two extra sessions. She hit a 3-pointer to put Radnor up for good. Mary Sareen led Radnor with a game-high 22 points.

Chloe Hunold led Strath Haven with 13 points. Olivia Voshel had 12 and Sierra Felder 11.

MARPLE NEWTOWN 65, HARRITON 33 » Brooke Impriano scored a game-high 20 points as the Tigers routed the Rams. Mary O’Brien produced 16 points, six assists and six steals.

In the Catholic League:

CARDINAL O’HARA 72, NEUMANN-GORETTI 60 » Freshman Megan Rullo hit four 3-pointers off the bench to provide a spark for the Lions. Her older sister, Molly, led O’Hara with 26 points.

In the Inter-Ac League:

EPISCOPAL ACADEMY 42, AGNES IRWIN 30 »

Gaeli Keffer-Scharpf and Natale Magnotta combined for 25 points to pace the Churchwome­n. Keffler-Scharpf scored a gamehigh 13 points and Magnotta chipped in with 12.

Simone Harvey topped the Owls with eight points.

NOTRE DAME 42, SPRINGSIDE CHESTNUT HILL 18 »

Lizzie and Katie Halligan combined for 13 points in the first quarter to stake the Irish to a 15-3 lead.

Lizzie Halligan had nine of her gamehigh 12 points and Katie Halligan added four of her 10 to put ND up for good.

In the Ches-Mont League:

The Longhorns used a 14-7 fourth quarter to hold off the Vanguards.

Jaina Preuhs led Sun Valley with 19 points. She was 8-for-9 from the free throw line. Rory Tiedeman pitched in with 12 points.
