Kennedy makes history, but BLCC tops RPSC

Saturday was another dominant day in the pool for Ridley Park’s Rori Kennedy.

The 14-and-under swimmer set two records in her team’s 252-196 Delco Swim League loss to visiting Broomall’s Lake. Kennedy swam the fastest time in team and pool history in the butterfly (30.37 seconds) and broke the team record in backstroke in 32.47.

Broomall’s Lake was buoyed by triple winners Madeline Hayes (8U fly, breast, relay), Mac Sommervill­e (8U back, free, relay), Riley Viner (14U fly, free, relay) and Ruby Schwelm (14U IM, breast, free).

In addition to Kennedy, who also took first place in the IM, triple winners for Ridley Park included Charlie Graziosi (12U fly, back, free), Hannah Fletcher (12U fly, breast, relay) and Brayden Saunders (12U IM, fly, back), whose time of 36.66 in backstroke was a team record.

KARAKUNG 299, BRIARCLIFF­E 173 »

Visiting Karakung had nine swimmers return home with three wins on their ledger. They were: Harvey Stewart (8U fly, breast, free), Riley O’Neill (10U back, free, relay), Ben Mallick (10U fly, breast, relay), Frankie DelMastro (12U back, free, relay), Xander Fingerhut (10U back, free, relay), Otis Stewart (12U IM, free, relay), Ellyse Carfrey (14U fly, breast, free), Porter Shaw (14U fly, breast, free) and Dylan Shindler (14U IM, back, free).

Addyson Despeaux (18U IM, back, free) and Charlotte Mariotti (8U fly, back, relay) were triple winners for Briarcliff­e. Despeaux’s times in the IM and free were team records.

NASSAU 239, FOLCROFT 148 »

It was apparently a great day to swim the 18U freestyle.

Despite losing the race, Katie O’Brien set the Nassau team record in the 18U free. Folcroft’s Julia Macauley was the winner, and in the process set a Nassau pool record in 1:57.92. On the boys’ side, Nassau’s Patrick Bray swam the fastest time in the 18U free, setting both team and pool marks.

Bray (18U fly, free, relay), Liam Wettlaufer (18U IM, breast, relay), Logan Thomas (12U IM, breast, relay) and Grace Jara (12U IM, fly, back) all won three races for Nassau. Julia MaCauley (18U IM, fly, free), Wyatt MaCauley (10U fly, breast, free) and Nahla Solometo (14U back, free, relay) were triple winners for Folcroft.

RIDLEY TOWNSHIP 253, CONESTOGA 223 » Leading the way for RT were triple winners Emma Kaufman (8U fly, free, relay), Mason Meyers (8U fly, breast, relay), Brody Zimmerman (10U fly, breast, free), Sarah McGann (14U IM, fly, free), Grace McBlain (18U IM, fly, free), Shane Eckler (18U fly, back, free) and Erik Boeckx (18U IM, breast, relay).

For Conestoga, Liam Jones broke his team record from last weekend in the 12U breast with time of 37.03. The 12U relay of Jace Barber, Jones, Nick Roeltgen and Ben Roeltgen set a team mark in 2.06:94. Jones (12U breast, free, relay), Audrey Brunner (12U IM, fly, relay) and Oliver Brunner (13U fly, back, relay) earned three wins apiece.

BROOKHAVEN 296, RIDDLEWOOD 119 » Guiding Brookhaven to victory were triple winners Kara Damico (18U IM, fly, free), Maggie Maloney (8U fly, free, relay), Luke Gervin (10U back, free, relay), Gabe Gallagher (12U IM, fly, relay), Mirrella Fields (14U IM, breast, relay), Lucy McClellan (14U fly, free, relay) and Drake Graham (18U fly, free, relay).

Riddlewood was led by triple winners Dylan Denker

(8U back, breast, free), Joss Catania (12U IM, fly, free) and Adam Ciuca (14U fly, back, free).

LAWRENCE PARK 281, HILLTOP 195 » Kelsey Bianco, who claimed first place in the 12U fly, free and relay, was one of five triple winners for Lawrence Park. Also recording three wins were Jack Bonafide 8U (fly, free, relay), Victor Pramatarov (8U back, breast, relay), Michael Levenick (10U back, free, relay) and William Stark (14U IM, breast, free).

TJ Hayes of Hilltop bested the competitio­n in the 18U IM, back and free. LANSDOWNE 273, SPRINGFIEL­D 205 » Cyrian Tiankwa set Lansdowne team and pool records in the 14U breaststro­ke with a time of 33.51. Jake Kennedy of Springfiel­d broke the pool record in the 18U backstroke, clocking in at 27.69.

Helping Lansdowne to the win were triple winners Peyton Turner (10U back, free, relay), Cyril Rogers Wright (12U IM, breast, relay), Colten Turner (12U fly, back, free), Catherine DeMartinis (14U IM, breast, relay), Makinde Enakhimion (10U fly, breast, relay), Ivie Enakhimion (14U back, free, relay) and Brady Turner (14U IM, back, relay).

Springfiel­d’s top swimmers were triple winners Claire Leddy (8U breast, free, relay), Connor Logan (8U breast, free, relay), Mary Kubiak (18U back, free, relay) and Kennedy (18U back, free, relay).

Prospect Park cruised behind triple winners Anthony Guerrero (18U IM, bac, free), Jimmy Toland (18U fly, breast, relay), Alex Schwab (18U IM, fly, breast), Gavin Donnelly (8U back, breast, free), Pat Manuel (10U fly, back, relay), Eddie Devenny (12U fly, 10U free, 10U relay), Alyse Steele (10U fly, breast, relay), McKenzie Ford (12U IM, 12U breast, 14U relay), Alex Giordano (14U IM, fly, free) and Erin Keeney (14U IM, fly, relay).

Callie Fiabane (14U back, 14U free, 18U relay) was the lone triple winner for Aquatic.

Three wins apiece by Nora Ferguson (10U fly, free, relay), Jude Gillen (12U IM, fly, free), Caleb Chiang (14U fly, free, relay) and Kieran Phelan (14U IM, back, relay) helped SCC secure the team win.

Triple winners for Knowlton included Ava Irvin (12U IM, free, relay), Fiona Peterson (14U IM, back, relay) and Angela Taylor (14U fly, free, relay).

Steering Creekside to victory were triple winners Noah Plunkett (18U IM, fly, breast), Vivian Shump (8U fly, breast, relay), Caitlin Schopen (8U back, free, relay), Valeria Haly (10U fly, free, relay), Calvin Hillemeyer (fly, free, relay), Zoey Zhang (12U IM, fly, relay) and Aaron Jones (12U IM, fly, relay).

SWARTHMORE 261, ROSE VALLEY 203 » Maisy Mote picked up two relays wins plus the 8U girls free and fly to see Swarthmore to a win over its neighborho­od rival.

John Kelly won the 12U back and free to go with two relay wins. Julia Parker claimed the 14U back, fly and free plus a relay, while Ella Shifflett and Gavin Shifflett won their respective 18U back, free, fly and freestyle relay events.

Ruby King won two relays and the 8U girls back. Lucy Dolle claimed the 12U free, fly and medley relay. WALLLINGFO­RD 179, SPLASH

45 » Maya Putty and Philip Vieira won the 14U breast, fly and medley relay on the respective sides of the draw. Putty added a free relay win to be one of seven quadruple winners for Wallingfor­d.

Marlo DiSilva (free, fly) and Ben Lu (free, back) split up the 12U division and teamed on two winning relays. Luca Frattaroli won the 10U boys free, fly and two relays. Elizabeth Gaffney and Brayden Mangat won the 8U back, fly and two relays on the girls and boys sides, respective­ly. Mariah Gaffney claimed the 10U girls back, free and two relays. Justin Wilson won the 18U boys back, fly and free relay.
