Former employee threatens to attack restaurant

INTOXICATE­D MALE » A 37-year-old male from Secane was taken into custody at 6:06 p.m. after being observed by police staggering with no shoes on in the 500 block of Baltimore Pike. He was found to be intoxicate­d on methamphet­amine and also had an active arrest warrant from Delaware County and was

turned over to constables.

July 1

BURGLARY » A business in the 1100 block of Baltimore Pike was broken into by someone cutting the lock on the front door. The crime was reported at 5:23 a.m. Cellphones and tablets were stolen.

VEHICLES ENTERED » Several unlocked vehicles were entered sometime overnight in the area of Weymouth Road, Northcroft Road and Kirk Drive.

June 30

VEHICLE THEFT » A resident of the 200 block of Fairview Road reported that sometime overnight a Jaguar vehicle was stolen from the street. While officers were speaking to the owner, Wilmington police found the vehicle unoccupied in the city.

VEHICLES ENTERED » Several unlocked vehicles were entered overnight in the area of Kerr Lane, Snyder Lane and Duncan Lane.

ASSAULT » At 4:26 p.m. officers responded to Church Road Park for a report of a fight. A male had stopped at the park and approached his wife and another male. He began to fight with the other male and threatened him. Officers took a 36-yearold from Prospect Park into custody and found a firearm inside his vehicle. He will be charged with threats, assault and firearms violations.

BURGLARY » At 5:21 a.m. officers responded to a glass break alarm in the 200 block of Baltimore Pike. The front door was smashed, several display cases were damaged and jewelry was stolen.

TERRORISTI­C THREATS »

Just before 5 p.m. officers responded to the Qdoba restaurant in the 1000 block of Baltimore Pike to investigat­e a disorderly subject. They learned that an ex-employee had gone to the store and threatened the manager over back pay owed. The male threatened to “blow up and shoot up the place.” Jarome Green, 43, of Philadelph­ia was taken into custody and charged with terroristi­c threats, disorderly conduct and other offenses and held for arraignmen­t.

RETAIL THEFT » At 3:41 p.m. a 53-year-old male from Philadelph­ia was charged with retail theft after being stopped by Macy’s security at the mall for stealing more than $170 worth of clothing.
