Safe stolen at Safelite; drunk driving on rim
Sept. 19
Bike theft: At 10 p.m. a resident of the 800block North Avenue reported a SE Flyer bicycle stolen from the shed in the rear of the property.
Sept. 22
Retail theft: At 2:10 p.m. employees at the Ulta store in Springfield Mall reported two females and one male entered the store and each stole a blow dryer from display. Detective Cutcliff is investigating. DUI: Just after 6p.m. Officers were called to the 600 block Baltimore Pike to check on a vehicle which was being driven without a tire on one of its rims. The vehicle was stopped, and the driver identified as a male, age 55, from Broomall and found to be intoxicated and taken into custody. He did submit to a blood test and was later released.
Retail theft: At 8 p.m. a 27-yearold Philadelphia man was observed by security at Target in the 800block Baltimore Pike stealing clothing, fragrance and electronics, which totaled a value of nearly $300. He was charged with retail theft.
Public drunkenness: About 9:20 p.m., officers responded to a property on the 600block East Leamy Avenue to investigate an unwanted person. They located a female, age 45, who was not authorized to be on the property and who was intoxicated. She was taken into custody and charged with public drunkenness.
Sept. 24
Attempted break in: Sometime overnight the glass on the rear door of Nutrition Zone in the
100 block of Baltimore Pike was shattered. It did not appear that anyone entered the business. Break-in: Just after 4p.m., the front door to the Safelite business in the 200 block Baltimore Pike was found to be smashed. Officers checked the interior and found that a safe and a camera were missing from inside. Detective Cutcliff is investigating.
