Moore’s 18 points lead Drexel past Delaware

Sophomore sensation Justin Moore scored 18 points Saturday to lead Drexel to an 86-67 victory over Delaware at the DAC. Moore also contribute­d five rebounds and seven assists as the Dragons improved to a clean 7-0 in the Coastal Athletic Associatio­n and 14-6 overall.

Kobe Magee scored 15 points, including hitting on all three of his 3-point attempts, while Lucas Monroe added 14 points and 12 rebounds. The Dragons have won seven games in a row.

The Blue Hens (11-8, 3-3) were led by Gerald Drumgoole Jr., who scored 18 points with six rebounds.

Jyare Davis added 17 points and seven rebounds and

Niels Lane had 10 points.

Moore scored 13 of his 18 points in the second half, as the Dragons outscored the

Blue Hens by 19 points in the latter half.

Cameron Brown laid the ball through the hoop with all of one second remaining, giving the Hawks the victory.

Christ Essandoko scored 21 points to lead the Hawks. He added 12 rebounds as St. Joe’s improved to 12-6, 2-3 in the Atlantic 10. Lynn Greer III scored 12 points and added six rebounds. Xzayvier Brown had 11 points.

The Dukes (9-8, 0-5) were led by Jimmy Clark III, who scored 21 points. Jake DiMichele added 11.

Mekhi Mason led the way for the Owls (Rice version), adding seven rebounds. Travis Evee added 15 points as Rice went to 7-11 overall and won its first American Athletic Conference game in five conference starts.

Temple’s Owls (8-11, 1-5) were led by Hysier Miller, who scored 24 points with seven assists. William Settle added 15 points for Temple, and Joran Riley had 12 points and eight rebounds.

Chisom Okpara scored 18 points as Harvard beat Pennsylvan­ia.

Okpara shot 7 for 15 (2 for 5 from 3-point range) and 2 of 3 from the free throw line for the Crimson (10-6, 1-2 Ivy League). Louis Lesmond scored 17 points, finishing 5 of 11 from 3-point range and 2 for 3 from the line.

Malik Mack was 6 of 16 shooting, including 2 for 7 from 3-point range, and went 2 for 3 from the line to finish with 16 points.

Nick Spinoso led the Quakers (9-9, 1-2) in scoring, finishing with 12 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two blocks. Tyler Perkins added 12 points for Pennsylvan­ia. In addition, Andrew Laczkowski had nine points and three steals.

Both teams next play Saturday. Harvard hosts Yale and Pennsylvan­ia plays Columbia on the road.
